Avodah Farm (pronounced AH-vo-DAH) is a small, diversified family farm located in West-Central Wisconsin’s Pepin County. We grow a cornucopia of vegetables, as well as some fruits, nuts and berries, using environmentally sustainable methods. 2013 will be our second season sharing this wealth of high-quality produce with customers in the Twin Cities area through a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).
Avodah is a Hebrew word whose meaning encompasses labor, worship, and service. This is exactly what farming is to us: meaningful, fulfilling work through which we revere our Creator and serve our community. We strive to be faithful stewards of Creation, working to heal our depleted topsoil and preserve heirloom vegetable varieties and heritage breeds of livestock. The food we grow sustains us and our members throughout the year, strengthening our area’s local food system.
