Many customers tell us our eggs are the best they've ever tasted. How do we do it? Simple: we feed our hens good food and let them be themselves. They spend the winter on thick straw bedding in a spacious, well-ventilated coop, and the growing season moving around the farm in an "egg-wagon" (mobile coop), so they can enjoy fresh grass, bugs and clover in a new spot every day. Besides what they scratch up on their own on pasture, we feed sprouted oats, soy-free organic layer mash, and scraps from our kitchen.
We sell our eggs for $6 per dozen. There are several ways to buy them:
1) Local Delivery. If you live within 1/2 mile of Wisconsin State Hwy 35 anywhere between Nelson and Prescott, we can deliver eggs to your doorstep once a week as needed, as long as you pre-pay for at least 4 dozen. To see if your location qualifies for delivery with a pre-paid/declining balance account, please send us a message using the form below, and include your address. 2) On-Farm, In-Person. If you're not on our delivery route or you'd rather not pre-pay, you can pick up eggs here on the farm and pay by cash or check. We're usually home before noon and after 6 PM on weekdays, but it's best to email first and let us know you're coming. No in-person sales on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, please. 3) Self-Serve Roadside Cooler (seasonal/weather-dependent). When we have enough eggs and it's not too hot or too cold or too rainy, we keep a cooler stocked with self-serve eggs at the end of our driveway. Just drive up, take what you need, and leave cash or a check in the payment jar. The cooler is usually available for 1-2 months in the spring, and sometimes another 1-2 months in the fall. Check our Facebook page for current egg cooler status updates.
